• Like a community yard sale where everything is free, a mutual aid opportunity
• Communities, organizations, schools, businesses, and individuals participate
• All items are provided to patrons for FREE no money is exchanged
• An opportunity to ease economic stress among communities, promote sustainability in response to excessive natural resource exploitation, and provide a space for exchanging goods, food, and skills for free, highlighting an "economy of abundance". 

• Environmental Response - to high waste society, climate change, and pollution 
• Economic Response - save money, reduce impacts of increased costs, reaction to economic disparities 
• Build Community - a way to share, care, give to each other in a safe space, create inclusivity and resilience, build trust and relationships
• Promote Circularity - less taking of the Earth and more circulating of what is already available, keep money in the local economy, teach how circularity works and can be applied in other ways
• Reduce Waste - keep clothing and goods out of landfills, promoting reuse and recycle, save money!
